Ok so here are some pics and one dark very dark video- you can barely see it but Abbey rolls over! Not the first time but she is getting the hang of it. She is still loving to blow raspberries! Its pretty cute!
Looking at Zeke
Still looking at Zeke...she is facinated with him but he pays her no attention...yet! Her Daddy is funny! Rolling over
Big news from the Zimmerman household! Abigail will be baptized on February 3rd at 1:00 at St. Jude. Thank goodness we got her in before Lent because Father Steve does not do baptisms during Lent and well Abbey already had her gown made! It was handmade I might add by her great Aunt Julie, it is very long and has lots of lace on it and has a cute matching bonnet! I can't wait to put her in it- I am just hoping that she does not spit up on it- but I will not hold my breath!
Abbey has been very amusing the last few days, she is learning how to make "raspberries" or blowing spit bubbles. While this is cute for about 5 or 10 minutes after about 30 minutes the whole front of her shirt gets soaked from her over flow of spit! She sure thinks it is funny though. She will be 5 months on January 28th! She is one month away from starting solids! How exciting. I still have not decided if I will make my own or buy it- probably end up buying it because I am lazy! But we shall see, Shane did get me a steamer and I did get a nice food processor for Christmas- I have used both already but they would come in handy for baby food making!
I will try my hardest to get a video of the new talent Abbey has and try to get some pics this weekend too.
Well Abbey has mastered the art of scooting! We put her in her crib with her head at one end and in the morning her head will be at the other end! The other night Shane and I were in bed watching her for about 20 minutes, she was turning all the way around by "walking" her feet on the sides of the bed! Too funny. She can roll over from her belly to her back if she wants to but she has yet to roll from back to belly, she is SO close. She also scoots a lot if she spits out her pacifier and then she tries to get it back in her mouth by scooting towards it.
She has begun to realize that she can make her hands do what she wants and she is now holding her toys, bottle (somewhat- I don't think she realizes that she does this), and grabbing hair, shirts, skin whatever she can! She loves her playstation, she will sit in it for 30 minutes plus- which is nice for making dinner or working out! I have started working out again- thank God- due to the holidays I slacked off. If you count my highest weight while pregnant I have lost a total of 40 lbs, now if you go from my prepregnancy weight I have lost 27 lbs- either way I am excited! I hope to lose even more and get in better shape. I am back on Weight Watchers faithfully so I hope that helps. New year's resolutions fade quickly so I hope this one sticks! Wish me luck.
Most of you know that I pump at work, luckily I have a door I can shut and NORMALLY no one bothers me! I have only 4 (3 right now) co-workers and they know when my door is shut I am pumping. Well today I hear a slight knock, I do not answer because I thought that it had to be on the outside door seeing as all of my co-workers know not to bother me when my door is shut. Well I was wrong the door opens and it is the maintenance man!!! He opens my door and looks up at the ceiling and says that the is just checking the lights! He did not even know I was pumping! I had to say to him "I am busy" then he said "oh I am just checking the lights" so I then say "I am busy SHUT MY DOOR NOW"!! I am sure that he thinks I am very mad, but luckily I had my shirt pulled down and he could not tell what I was doing at all. Poor guy now thinks I am mad at him!! Too funny, I hope I made you laugh for the day!
We had a great New Year's Eve! We went to Ruth's Chris- we had shrimp cocktail which was amazing, and we also had oysters on the half shell and they were SO good it had been over a year since I had been able to eat them! I ordered the petite filet and split crab legs and Shane had a ribeye. We also ordered potatoes (fried with sauteed onions) and mushrooms. For dessert Shane had cheesecake and I had creme brulee- both were really good. The atmosphere was great and so nice to get out by ourselves! We then came home and celebrated with friends and family at our house. Lots of fun!
Abbey and her new playstation
The New Year's Dog! Abbey and her Aunt Sherry All dressed up. We had to do a close up because Abbey spit up on my shirt and I dripped butter on it at dinner- such a slob!
