Cats for Sale

Well well well I am officially highly allergic to cats (and somewhat dogs)! No we are not getting rid of the fatties I am just going to go get weekly shots. The things I do for these inconsiderate animals! In addition to the four legged beasts I am also allergic to dust mites, many strains of mold (penicillin- who knew!), lots and lots of trees and pollens, and horses! There goes my hopes and dreams of ever becoming a jockey, shucks. So the doc recommended that I get weekly shots to build my immunity to all of the allergies, I'm game! This season has been really bad and I have had killer headaches and pressure so I need to do something about it and as much as I hate shots it's something I need to do! The reading material did say that if one is allergic to dust mites it is best to not do the cleaning, and if at all possible to leave the house when the cleaning is done! I say we need to set up an account with Merry Maids and Abbey and I need to get the heck out of there! I doubt Shane will buy that....but it is in regards to my health you know...

Here are a few pictures for your viewing pleasure.

This is what I came home to one night this week
This was in the other room, I took a picture of the "present" Zeke left me at the front door, apparently styrofoam trays and cat poop don't set well with Zeke's stomach...
And this is how I found him
Using her new walking toy
Reaching for the phone or remote
Swimming with Mom!
I was not getting the food ready fast enough
Crawling ALL over the place
Checking out the new gate
Playing with Zeke

Walking the dog

So Abbey and I have been taking nightly walks, weather permitting, and I bring Zeke along of course and today I looked down because Abbey was fussing and I did not know why- we had not hit any bumps or anything and normally she LOVES walks...well she was trying to grab Zeke'e leash so she could "help" me walk him! Every time the leash slipped out of her hand she screamed! Zeke was a good sport and allowed Abs to hold on for the most part!

Whaddya Think?

Two questions faithful blog readers-

One when do you think Abbey will start walking? Take the poll up above this post! I think it will be in about 4 weeks, she is pulling herself up with no problem and starting to cruise and has stood unsupported for a few seconds. We have had to install one baby gate to the kitchen and will have to get another one to put up in the doorway to the family room. Right now we push her pack and play (that is now set up in the living room permanently) in the door way so she can't get in the family room and she can peruse the living room, hallway, and entry way. She has not discovered the step in the entry way yet, but there is one at the Connie's and I think she goes over it. She was hanging on the baby gate and pounding away at it last night...and trying to get her head under it because it will not go all the way to the floor. It was something new that she HAD to explore! She is quite the handful now that she is mobile!

Second question- What should Abbey get for her first birthday?! Multiple suggestions please we have a lot of grandparents who want to know! :) Not to mention Mom and Dad! What was or is your child's favorite toy at this age?

Dude Where's My Car?

Oh here it is...Shane and I got a new car! It's a 2008 Chevy Impala, its dark grey with a hint of blue! I really like it and we like the fact that it can use the new E85 gas and gets more mpg than the Equinox- I no longer drive an SUV!! But this car rocks it has an automatic starter, OnStar, and XM radio! Sweet. I now need a name for her, what do you suggest?
